DID YOU KNOW.......? -In 2013, 8,357,100 people received support from the 5 main long-term care services; home health agencies (4,742,500), nursing homes (1,383,700), hospitals (1,244,500), residential care communities (713,300) and adult day service centers (273,200).1 -The national median daily rate in 2016 for a private nursing home room is $253 dollars a day, which adds up to $92,378 a year. These costs have grown 4% over the past 5 years.2 -The national median daily rate for an assisted living facility is $119 dollars a day, or, $43,539 a year.2 -In 2012, total spending (public, out-of-pocket and other private spending) for long-term care was $219.9 billion, or 9.3% of all U.S. personal health care spending.
